Roulette is one of the most popular casino games worldwide, invented in 1720 in France. For many Vietnamese players, this game is relatively new and unfamiliar.

In this article, we will introduce you to the basics of Roulette rules. There are two most common versions of Roulette: the European Roulette version (numbered from 0 to 36) and the American Roulette version (which adds a double-zero "00" and has 38 numbers). The order of numbers on the Roulette wheel follows a clockwise sequence as follows in most casinos:
(0)(0)-32-15-19-4-21-2-25-17-34-6-27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10-5-24-16-33-1-20-14-31-9-22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26
(00)(0)-28-9-26-30-11-7-20-32-17-5-22-34-15-3-24-36-13-1-(00)-27-10-25-29-12-8-19-31-18-6-21-33-16-4-23-35-14-2

(0) and (00) are green, while the other numbers alternate between red and black.

In Roulette, players can place bets inside or outside the table:
Inside Bets:
Bet Names | Description | Chip Placement Position |
Straight/ Single
| Bet on a specific number (including 0) | Directly on the chosen number
|
Split | Bet on two adjacent numbers
| On the dividing line between the two numbers |
Street | Bet on three numbers in the same row | At the bottom boundary of the corresponding row on the roulette table |
Corner/ Square | Bet on any square block of four numbers | In the corner where the four numbers meet |
Six Line/ Double Street

Basket/First Four
| Betting on 0-1-2-3 (only the European Roulette version ) | In the outer corner of 0-1 or 0-3 |
Top Line | Betting on 0-00-1-2-3 (only the American Roulette version) | In the outer corner of 0-1 or 00-3 |
Outside Bets: Outside bets typically have lower payouts with better odds of winning.
Note: All bets will lose if the number 0 appears.
Bet Names | Description |
Low Half (Numbers 1 to 18) / High Half (Numbers 19 to 36) | Betting on 0-00-1-2-3 (only the American Roulette version) |
Red or Black | Each number has a different red or black color |
Odd or Even | Betting on the odd or even number |
Column | Betting on the "2 to 1" marked area at the end of each column of numbers |
Dozen | Betting on a group of 12 numbers in the "1st 12," "2nd 12," or "3rd 12" boxes |
The ball is automatically pushed out onto the spinning wheel when the betting time is over. As the wheel starts to spin, the ball will fall into one of the numbered slots. When the wheel slows down and comes to a complete stop, the player placing a bet on that number will win.
Now that you have a solid understanding of the game's fundamentals, it's time to implement your knowledge. So, take a deep breath, trust your choices, and enjoy the exhilarating experience of playing Roulette. This game has captivated players for centuries. Good luck, and may fortune favor the bold!
